Support our projects in Ecuador

The activities for local economic development and advancement started in 2005 and are currently implemented in the Kurunegala district. In the process Swisscontact cooperates closely with the regional administration. We examine locally the most competitive sectors and support the concerned enterprises to promote their growth and to improve their competitiveness. On the level of competence development we are arranging our measures with the section of apprenticeship in the Divisional Secretariat. We are working not only as instructors but also as advisers.

To create a supporting environment we examine the local public structures and terminate in coordination with all parties barriers that block the development of the private sector.

Thus we are cooperating closely with the organisations in the Kurunegala district, agents of the public and the private sector and other NGOs that are engaged there as well. One of our aims is the better adoption of the judicial framework requirements. Furthermore we would like to advance the services from the public and the private sector.
