Support our projects in Ecuador

The project - With this project we advance the creation of jobs and income for the population in the areas hit by the tsunami in 2004. Micro and small enterprises receive support for the rebuilding of their operations from easily accessible contact points. These contact points offer information on different ways of support in the framework of our project or within other projects.

We introduce solutions to the entrepreneurs of the micro and small enterprises for refinancing their businesses. We offer financing for the rehabilitation of the business capital, but also establish contacts to banks and finance institutions. We support the rebuilding of business relations with contractors and purchasers which were interrupted due to the tsunami. The companies thereby receive important access to locally offered enterprise services.

Duration of the project – The Projects over-all duration is three years (2005 to 2008) and it will reach up to 500 micro and small enterprises. This adds up to a potential of 10.000 new jobs.

Sustainability – With the help of safe jobs the population in the areas hit by the catastrophe is able to rebuild their basis of living and to life independently from support. The creation of safe jobs causes also faster economic growth. This depends in Indonesia in general, but especially in the disaster area on the high number of micro and small enterprises. Thus a rebuilding of these businesses can create jobs and income.
