Support our projects in Ecuador

A solidly grounded education is the key for economic and social development in any country. First, a solidly grounded education helps people to develop their own initiatives and to take into their own hands matters relevant towards improving their situation in life.

For nearly 50 years, Swisscontact has been engaged in vocational training. We design and deliver programmes with local partners, focussing in particular on training local instructors, teachers and apprentices. In addition, we provide consultancy services to professional associations engaged in developing new education schemes, such as short-term training courses designed for the local labour market.

In our partner countries, we also assist the authorities in the development of sound and sustainable structures for vocational training. However, promoting education also means giving equal chances in the labour market to both men and women. More than 30 percent of the participants in our programmes are women.
