Bolivia
Fight poverty with business aid programmes
Environment – Small and medium enterprises (SME) are one of the cornerstones of sustainable development. Though in Bolivia they contribute one third of the gross domestic product, and represent about three-quarters of the country’s the workforce. These jobs have especially benefited people from the lower classes and from rural areas.
The project – We campaign for long-term economic development, stronger labor conditions and market opportunities for small and medium enterprises to provide social benefits for businesses, workers and families.
A major priority is the advancement of a comprehensive, practically oriented apprenticeship and consultancy in cooperation with carefully selected centres of attendance.
We provide informational outreach events, workshops and advice, specializing in legal and logistical issues. Through public forums like exhibitions and meetings, we promote networking among enterprises and support vendors for SME products.
The establishment of an official system of certification for products and services will improve quality and production processes and thereby expand market opportunities. Our projects aim to respond to existing needs and are tailored to regional differences, and harmonize with government initiatives for economic advancement and regulatory improvements for small and medium enterprises.
