Support our projects in Ecuador

The project With this project we aim to enhance the education and skills of graduates and young adults in Albania. We are working in the areas surrounding Durres, Lushnja, Fier and Elbasan–a very difficult region. The employment market was affected heavily by the collapse of the state-owned industry, which was exacerbated by an influx of migration from the northern regions of the country. Job and apprenticeship opportunities for unskilled workers were in short supply.

Swisscontact supports apprenticeship institutions with technical and economical advanced training programs, assists with the development of new programs, and finances the purchase of vital equipment. To increase course participation, we provide tuition subsidies that allow also young men facing economic hardship to participate. The target groups are graduates and young adults, who have in the current situation no possibilities to educate themselves further.

Partners Our project partners are the Albanian Ministries of Education and Work. Collaboration with apprenticeship institutions and companies is a key priority in creating connections between instructors and employers.
