Profile
Swisscontact Germany is a non-profit organisation and a subsidiary of Swisscontact, a Swiss private sector organization specializing in development cooperation. Swisscontact is headquartered in Zurich and was founded in 1959 by leading figures drawn from the Swiss private sector and from Swiss universities. Swisscontact is a politically and denominationally neutral foundation.
Swisscontact has been working in developing countries and in Eastern Europe for nearly 50 years with the aim of advancing sustainable social, ecological and economic development. Our ambition is to fight poverty effectively, and permanently.
In pursuit of this ambition, some 500 Swisscontact employees in 25 countries around the world are committed to sustainable development based on the principle of helping others to help themselves. We support local economic development through consultancy and training.
Swisscontact Germany maintains a valuable network of private businesses, economic representatives, advisors, ministries and organisations in a range of different countries. We maintain long-term cooperation with companies and on this basis offer expertise in project management. We understand how to connect economic interests with development needs and concerns.
In short, we create opportunities.
